Application of Climate Change Data to Estimate Irrigation Design Water Duty
This case study in the Philippines demonstrates the use of bias-corrected downscaled climate model data into a paddy water balance model to assess the impact of climate change on irrigation design water duty (a parameter required for designing capacities of irrigation channels).
The assessment was conducted for a specific location (Cabanatuan City) in the province of Nueva Ecija, and compared projections for the period 2036–2065 with a historical baseline period (1971–2000). These datasets are available in the RCCAP portal data repository.
